I have one family member that sews, but not quilt. The first sewing machine I purchased like 10 years ago. Having so many idea's to use it for was so exciting to me. After making slight alterations to a few things I tried to do a quilt top. It took me about one month to finish my quilt top. No way was I planning on quilting it myself. I was gonna have to find someone to do that for me. A family member's grandmother was going to do this task for me, well its been several years and still no finished quilt for me.
Several months ago I decided to buy a new sewing machine. Seeing how many new and different ones they where it took me a few weeks to find one. Well let me tell you, I am going nuts with finishing quilting projects. So far I have completed 5 piece's. A sewing machine that can do piecing and quilting is wonderful.
December 15, 2012 is my first grand baby is due. I will be quilting my heart out! Love Love Love being able to see all of the blogs and tutorials for quilting projects. These have saved me in more ways then one.
My most favorite Youtube site is The Missouri Star Quilt Company. A very family orientated business and site. So strongly urge everybody check it out even if you already know how to quilt.
Can't wait to get started on Christmas projects! Its gonna be so much fun.
